I-693 Immigration Medical Exam – What to Expect
Your First Visit
During your initial appointment, we will:
✓ Review your medical history and vaccination records based on USCIS requirements
✓ Check your vital signs and complete your physical exam
✓ Collect required blood and urine samples (age-based)
✓ Discuss any vaccines you may need
Vaccines are available in-office for an additional fee, or you may choose to receive them at a pharmacy or health department.
Lab Results & Follow-Up
✓ Lab results are typically ready within 5–7 business days
✓ We will schedule your follow-up visit with the Civil Surgeon
✓ Your exam will be finalized once all results are reviewed
Tuberculosis (TB) Testing
✓ If your TB blood test is positive, a chest X-ray will be required
✓ We will refer you to a local imaging center
✓ Chest X-ray fees are paid directly to the imaging facility
✓ Most results are returned within 24 hours
