What to Expect
Your exam, step by step
We review your records and explain the next steps for your I-693 exam.
Vaccinations & Testing
If required vaccines are missing, most adult vaccines are available in our office, excluding the pneumonia vaccine. You may also receive vaccines at a pharmacy or local health department.
If tuberculosis screening is positive, a chest X-ray is required. We will refer you to an outside imaging facility.
Follow-Up Visit
After blood work is completed, a follow-up visit is scheduled with the Civil Surgeon to finalize your exam. Lab results typically return within 5–7 business days.
Completed I-693
During the second visit, you will sign the I-693 form and receive your completed I-693 in a sealed envelope, along with a copy of the I-693 and lab results for your personal records.
